Born in Gaeta in Italy in 1961, holds a Master in electronic engineering from the University of Rome, La Sapienza and has attended several executive management courses. Current Position: Head of Ericsson Region Mediterranean and President of Ericsson in Italy Main work experience and other information: Joined Ericsson in 1988 and was part of the launch of the first GSM networks in the early ‘90s in his role as software development, network system engineering and solution architect. He then held several strategic roles in marketing and sales, including Key Account Manager for Wind Italy, Vodafone Italy and other operators. From 2006, Head of Sales Networks for Western Europe within Business Unit Networks in Stockholm. In 2009, he became Head of Business Operations in Market Unit South East Europe, where he promoted business growth for all business segments. As Head of Region Mediterranean since February 2010, he has been leading the transformation of the regional operations into a full ICT company. From January 2012 is also President of Ericsson Italy. Mirtillo is a member of the executive board of Asstel, the Association of Italian Network Service Providers and of Assosvezia, the Association of Swedish companies operating in Italy.
