Biography Joakim Sorelius, Product Manager at Business Unit Radio Joakim Sorelius is currently Head of 5G Architecture at the 4G/5G Product Area within Business Unit Radio, Ericsson AB, Sweden. His main area of responsibility is the management and steering of the Ericsson 5G development program. Sorelius has a strong international experience. He studied at the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, France and holds a Master of Science diploma from Uppsala University, Sweden along with a Ph.D. degree in Signal Processing, also earned at Uppsala University and in collaboration with Stanford University. His professional career stretches from Sweden to Japan, where he served as Technical Director and Program Office Manager for Ericsson’s largest account. In Sweden, he has held several leadership positions including project and product management for Ericsson’s 2G/3G and 4G/5G offering, as well as being an active contributor to 3GPP standardization with three approved patents under his name. Sorelius is an active and enthusiastic speaker, not only internally at Ericsson, but also at universities and at various congresses and international events
